Dear Comrades,
We are very happy to know that the 21st Congress of the
Communist Party of Greece will be held from June 24 to June 27, 2021.
On behalf of the National Council of the
Communist Party of India, and my own behalf I convey warm fraternal greetings
to the leadership and those delegates who will be participating at the 21st
Congress of the Communist Party of Greece.
The 21st
Congress of the CPG is taking place
in the background of the second wave of Covid
19 Pandemic situation world over and its disastrous consequences on the
economic, political and social life of the common people while the aggressive
role of finance capital is jeopardizing national economies of different
countries. At the same time US imperialist and NATO’s policy of threats,
sanctions and intimidation are continuing various part of the world while
Israeli aggression and occupation of Palestine endangering the peace and
stability the world over.
Your Congress is also taking place in the background of the more right-wing shift of the European Union and its member countries. Rightist forces have ascended to power in most of these countries. The new rightist ruling cliques are taking measures to suppress the rising protest movements against neo-liberalism. In the crisis-ridden countries, the trends of fascism and racism are on rise.
Dear comrades,
Your Congress is going to discuss three main theses on three
important subjects on which discussion is taking place within the party with
utmost democratic atmosphere. We are waiting for the final versions of these
three theses endorse by the Congress. We believe that these documents will help
us in critical way to understand of the present international development,
political-military framework of the contemporary world as well as the present
phase of the international communist movement. We believe that the political
outcome of the 21st Congress will have far reaching positive impact
on the working class and popular forces of Greece in their struggle for
socialism.
CPI is well aware of the revolutionary history of CPG as real
representative of the working class and toiling masses of Greece which made
tremendous sacrifices from its inception by fighting and defeating the fascist
rule and with enormous experience of working underground and over ground,
playing important role in Greece and European Parliament raising the voice of
the concerned people.
We highly appreciate the role of CPG for initiating the yearly international meeting of the communist and workers parties in bringing together on common platform which has now become a practice and also organized by many communist parties from different continents.
Dear Comrades,
Our two parties, the Communist Party of India and Communist Party of Greece have excellent fraternal relations. But situation demands more political interactions between our two parties to contribute more for the struggle for peace, democracy, social justice and finally for socialism.
We wish all success to the 21st Congress of the Communist Party of Greece.
