Dear Comrade,
Re; 21st National Congress of the Communist Party Greece
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka expresses Fraternal and Revolutionary greetings to the 21st National Congress of the Communist Party Greece.
Your congress is being held at a time when the world is passing through a period of profound crisis with much strain and pain to the people world-wide.
The COVID – 19 pandemic emerged with the dawn of year 2020, at a time when neo-liberalism has run into crisis. So, the ongoing economic crisis was deepened, bringing misery to the people with increased poverty and unemployment. The ongoing crisis is escalating far beyond Global Financial crisis of 2008 and even great desperation of 1928-33. This is not a general crisis of capitalism but a structural crisis of imperialism.
Against the background of the structural crisis of capitalism, the international situation remains characterized by great instability and uncertainty, with signs of deterioration in the economic and financial situation and 'announcements' of a new peak of crisis, used as a pretext for the intensification of a policy of exploitation and attack on fundamental democratic rights.
The
situation in several countries and regions in the world is worsening as a
result of imperialism’s offensive that continues and intensifies its policy of
interference and aggression persists in promoting “Regime Change” operations in dangerous
actions, that aims at ambitious geostrategic objectives and that open the door
to reactionary and fascist forces, as happened in confrontation, interference
and war against the peoples of the Asia, Middle East.
The century
of Asia is coming forward as the driving force of the world development. US is trying every trick of the politics
pressing its imperial foothold in the Indo-Pacific region. The Alliance between
US, Japan and Australia linked with India is a danger posed against the peace
in the region.
You have every reason to believe that if the judgment of history is strict and righteous, it will highly appreciate the path traveled by your party. The Greek Communists have been playing a decisive role in protecting the rights of working people and saving the people. The contribution of the KKE, as an integrated partner in the World Communist Movement to the development of Marxism and Leninism in the current context, is magnificent and exemplary. The KKE's fight against imperialism inspires the people who fight for peace, independence and sovereignty.
We are confident that the 21st Congress of your Party will deliberate the given international and national situation for making conclusions, which will be important not only for the struggle for socialism in Greece but for the entire world. We trust that the conclusions of the congress will further strengthen the unity of the International Communist Movement.
