Dear comrades,
We would like to send you the greetings of the Swiss Party of Labour for your XXIth Congress and wish you fruitful deliberations and success in your struggle for the interests of the working people, for social justice, against imperialism, for organizing the people’s struggle and for socialism.
The Swiss Party of Labour considers that we live in a historically critical moment. The pandemic of the Covid-19 was a turning point, opening a deep and multidimensional economic and social crisis of the globalized capitalist system. Social inequality and poverty had yet massively increased. All the contradictions of the capitalist system have significantly sharpened. Inter-imperialist contradictions have reached a highly dangerous level. And the climate change as well as the lack of any real actions of the bourgeois governments against it, for the only reason to preserve the profits of the big corporations, represent a major and imminent threat to the whole humankind. A revolutionary transformation of our societies, the end of capitalism and a transition to socialism are urgently needed. The historical responsibilities of the communist parties are of great importance in this circumstances.
We fully support your struggle, and will follow the decisions of your XXIth Congress with great interest.
