Dear Comrades
The Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran would like to take this opportunity to salute the entire leadership, cadres, members, and supporters of the Communist Party of Greece(KKE) on the successful holding of its 21stCongress. We are confident that the decisions of your congress, at such a complex juncture in the history of the struggle for peace and socialism,will form an important contribution not only to the endeavours of the Greek people to articulate the fundamentals of an agenda for qualitative change in Greece, but also to the fight for peace and progress across the world.
The Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran wishes the 21stCongress of the KKE every success in realising its objectives in ratifying and renewing the strategic policies and tasks in the struggle for peace, democracy, and socialism, at home and internationally.
We are aware that delegates at the 21st Congress of the
KKE will be engagedin strategic debates on the role o
f the party as the guide
for the revolutionary labour movement, social alliances and in the struggle for
socialism- communism working class, the current international reality and also
on the class structure of the Greek society.
These are especially important areas of debate, and your conclusions will
undoubtedly be of significant interest for the international working-class
movement in the struggle for peace, progress, and socialism. We wish the KKE every success in its
endeavour and await the report of your articulations and decisions.
The Tudeh Party of Iran, along with all other fraternal parties internationally, cannot fail to acknowledge the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic upon humanity and particularly on the lives and wellbeing of the working-classes around the world. All fraternal parties are today grappling with the economic, social, and political crisis that has been massively exacerbated by the pandemic. These challenges have been greater for the peoples and movements in the poorer countries and those ruled by corrupt, pro-capitalist, and dictatorial regimes - such as in the Islamic Republic of Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East region. We have closely followed the reports of KKE that deal with the impact of COVID-19 on its political activities and campaigning, and the way you have managed to articulate plans, policies, and actions that further the struggle for progressive change and against exploitative corporations and war-mongering forces - while adhering to guidelines guaranteeing the safety of working people and limiting the spread of COVID-19.
The Tudeh Party of Iran has always appreciated the important initiatives, formulations, and policies that the KKE promote, and which enhancethe struggle for peace internationally in the extraordinarily complex world we live in at present. Your dynamic internationalism has been a source of strength for the struggle of people in different continents - and particularly in our region.
The bilateral relations that our two parties have developed over the decades stand upon the foundations of the best traditions of working-class internationalism. We would also like to take this opportunity to restate our profound commitment to the longstanding fraternal relations with the KKE.

In recent years there has been increasing talk in imperialist circles of the inevitability of a redrawing of the map of the Middle East. US imperialism’scontinuing strategic policy of ensuring its hegemony in the Middle East has been the principal factor guiding its malevolent interactions with the countries of the region over the past three decades in particular. The fact that the foreign policy of the Biden administration has been a close, and at times more cunning, continuation of that of the Trump administration is there for all to see. The Tudeh Party of Iran is seriously concerned that if the forces campaigning for peace and progress are not soon able to mobilise an effective and united campaign for an end to the colonial occupation of Palestine by Israel as well asthe bloodshed in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and the Caucasus, then the political map of the region could undergo disastrous alterations. This will have dire consequences further afield, including in both Asia and Europe.
Dear Comrades
Our country, Iran, is going through an extraordinarily complex period in its contemporary history. The country is ruled by a medieval dictatorship that has sacrificed the human, natural, and strategic potential of the country for the sake of its brutal and damaging rule and in pursuit of its own particular interests.
The Tudeh Party of Iran continues its efforts to organise the masses and believes that through the creation of a united movement of progressive opposition forces - including the social movements and, crucially; the working-class, women, and the youth - the path to fundamental, democratic, and progressive changes can be paved. The people’s struggle for democracy in Iran is aimed at creating the conditions for the building of a genuine anti-imperialist popular movement and this in turn is connected to our principled position in resisting imperialist plans for our country and the wider region. The regime is resorting to brute force and open repression in order to frustrate our efforts. To successfully pursue our struggle for peace and progress in the service of our strategic goal of fighting for socialism we callfor the international solidarity of communist and workers parties around the world.

The Tudeh Party of Iran, through this message, assures you of our commitment to the furtherance of our bilateral fraternal relations and our policy of fraternal support for the struggle of the KKE for peace, progress, and socialism. We believe that the success of our struggle for advancing progress will demand the broadest unity of all forces that fight for peace and progress internationally. The communists have an irreplaceable role in this struggle, and in achieving and nurturing this unity. We are confident that our common struggle for real and durable peace in the world will be successful and that human and democratic rights, and social justice will prevail.
